Polak skupiał się dziś na testowaniu różnych ustawień hamulców i różnych mieszanek ogumienia. Z innych rzeczy, jakie testował to m.in. kilka symulacji startu wyścigu oraz wypalanie paliwa, czyli standardową procedurę, jaką przechodzi każdy nowy bolid.

W piątek na stanowisku kierowcy testowego nowego bolidu zastąpi go Nick Heidfeld.

After carrying out the shakedown of the newly-launched BMW Sauber on Tuesday, Robert Kubica enjoyed a second productive day in the F1.09?s cockpit at Valencia on Wednesday. With the team testing in isolation in sunny conditions, Kubica was able to cover 99 laps of the Spanish circuit.

The Polish driver concentrated predominantly on testing different brake set-ups and tyre compounds. He also conducted several race start simulations and in the morning deliberately stopped out on the track, as he carried out a standard ?fuel run-out? procedure.

"Although it was quite windy in the afternoon, the conditions were better than yesterday because the track is building up grip with every lap I drive," he explained. "The progress we made during the day shows that we are moving in the right direction with the development of the F1.09."

Kubica will continue to test the new car on Thursday, before handing it over to team mate Nick Heidfeld on Friday.
